The Girl in the Rearview Mirror

You left her far behind–as a mere memory,
not of a life but casual chaos; then
she appears as a reflection
as if light, arrived from some distant galaxy–
and her eyes resonate: O! teardrop on the heart,
never shall expel–what could have been . . . .
