Bored Poem

. . . nothing
long stretches of else
nor here nor there

waiting
its
wanna not

don’t know when out

self-wrangled unexpressed
its velocity is
broken through

the moment crater
useless
dug we are
when

said no
cannot have

is
Boredom

  1. It’s not easy to write something interesting about boredom – I’ve tried, so I know (with a poem called ‘Caretaker’) but you have certainly carried it off here. Those expressions of broken thought seem to capture the mood, but certain phrases catch the reader’s interest (like “long stretches of else”, “self-wrangled”, “the moment crater”). Congratulations!
