Now that a deep darkness has lifted from me
And the incumbent sadness along with it
I do not now know what I am
Supposed to feel . . .

  1. I believe I know of what you speak. It’s almost like we become accustomed to the sadness…it’s what we know, so when it leaves, we may feel a little lost at first. And then maybe a little happy… :~)

  2. It is, I agree. And really, maybe being happy is too high a standard to even try and attain, that’s an awful lot of pressure, and I personally don’t need that pressure and it sounds like you don’t either. So forget that. 🙂
